Science & Technology Club

October 2022 : We re-started our Science & Technology Club after a gap of two years. Students from The Club activities are conducted at NMMC’s Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Sector 4, Nerul. Interested 9 th standatd students from this School and from NMMC School, Shiravane, are members of this Club. Mr. Sudeep Singh Dhillon is the lead instructor. The students really enjoy the sessions which are held every Wednesday.

10th January 2018: We inaugurated our first Club in a Municipal School in Nerul (sector 4). The present and the future Clubs will be joint projects of our Trust and the Rotary Club of New Bombay Seaside. Around 150 students from three Municipal schools of Nerul attended the inaugural session and all seemed to want to be a part of the project. After a few sessions the number has stabilized at 52 students.

The idea to start the Club is to inculcate the spirit of scientific enquiry in the students and help them to do science projects so that they get hands-on experience. The students will be encouraged to come up with ideas and help will be given to develop working models. Who knows… possibly one day…. one or more of the students may become great scientists! The present club has two wonderful personalities as their guides…Dr. Nagpal(ex-BARC) and Mr. Sudeep S. Dillon(entrepreneur). The Trustees, R. Radhakrishnan & Mrs. Lalitha R. are also a part of the faculty.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Principal of the School, Mr. Sonawane, whose help in starting the Club cannot be put in words. WE are also thankful to NMMC Education Officer for granting us to set up the club in a Municipal School. We look forward to making this Club of ours one of the best in the country.

Along with the running of the club, the Trust along with the Rotary club of New Bombay Seaside has started holding inter-school Science and Technology Competitions which we have aptly named “KHOJ”.
