2019-2020, Educational Financial Assistance Award Function of the Trust: This was the sixth year in succession that the Trust conducted it’s Educational Financial Assistance Award Function. The Award Function was the culmination of the process of scrutinizing needy students applications and interviewing them where necessary to ascertain and determine and select the most needy students for the awards.
The award function was held on the 21st of July at Agri Koli Sanskriti Bhawan Auditorium( 10.30am to 1.30 pm). During the function the Trust handed over financial assistance cheques to around 260 needy students( including around 10 more in the waiting) amounting to an equivalent of around 22 lakh rupees. Assistance to needy students, as usual, continues throughout the year.
Watching the happiness and the smiles on the faces of the students and their parents was worth the morning. The students being supported are from 1st std. to final year Engineering.
After the sincilating performances by youngsters ( Dances by Arushi Singh, Shraddha & Tanvi Kulkarni,& Arvind Sagate; Songs by Sreelakshmi Santosh, Yash Warrier, & Bhargavi Ghanashyam), we had the motivational talk by Colonel Ravindra Joshi and this was followed by the Awards Ceremony.
We shall soon put up the list of students supported by the Trust along with the names of the donors. The lunch was sponsored mainly by Mrs. Padma Ravi and partly by Mrs. Janaki Sharma( in memory of her husband) and Mrs. Saraswati( in memory of her mother-in-law)
